Doll Doll FAQ image

how did you decide on your pricing?

our company is fundamentally against the philosophy of fast-fashion because its poor quality means fast turnover that pollutes the environment at the beginning of its lifecycle, and contributes to landfill waste at the end of it. honestly it just doesn’t look great either… we prioritize quality construction and materials to ensure longevity in our products. the cost per wear math maths. a piece that's cheaper to purchase will fall apart faster, requiring further purchases, ending up costing more over the long run versus a piece that costs more up front and is made to keep working and looking good for years to come. we do understand paying ~$200 for a pair of leather shoes can be a big investment when a pair of Doc Martens shoes $140-180, however we are a very small brand and don’t have the economies of scale of these big, established corporations with their own dedicated factories. we simply can't compete with that so we do our best to find a balance of affordable prices while maintaining the integrity of our products. offering cheaply produced products isn’t really what we’re trying to do, anyway. we want to make something that will serve you, not end up letting you down…and it’s really hard to do that for rock bottom prices. we are planning to introduce ways to make our products slightly more accessible though. pls stay tuned!

can you go even bigger with your size run?

yes, that’s the long term goal. we started out with USW 10-14, because we’re self-funding this project and can’t go as high as size 15, 16, 17 because of the added cost to develop/produce. HOWEVER, we do want to see how much demand there is in the far end of the bell curves, and once we achieve more stable revenue, expand to these sizes. if this applies to you, we’ll have a spot on our product page for you to share your size, to give us a better idea where we should take our sizes to.

can i/we get involved?

doll doll was made as a community by and for trans women. other brands have been using AI-generated content for marketing, but we at doll doll will always prioritize trans artists, musicians, graphic designers, models, because we want to elevate trans people first and foremost! and we are always looking for people to collaborate with us. if you’re interested, please reach out! send us an email to nevada@dolldoll.house or rhys@dolldoll.house.

are you hiring?

since we’re a baby company and are currently self-funding, we unfortunately do not currently have any paid permanent roles. but if we grow how we hope to, there will job opportunities down the road, since we definitely have gaps in our knowledge and we’d love to get some trans talent! any future hires will prioritize trans women because the dolls need jobs!
